I build the machines that mine Bitcoin — and the machines that build them.
I'm WantClue, lead software developer of the open-source Bitaxe miner and founder of WantClue Technologies. I design custom products, firmware and production automation for companies in the Bitcoin mining space.
Open-source hardware, shipped to the world.
Everything below is real, running on thousands of devices, and open for anyone to inspect. That's how I like to work.
Bitaxe — the open-source Bitcoin ASIC miner
As lead software developer I work on ESP-Miner and AxeOS, the firmware and web interface that power every Bitaxe. I also developed BAP, the Bitaxe Accessory Protocol driving the color touchscreens on the Bitaxe Touch and Turbo Touch.

The official browser-based flashing tool. Plug in a Bitaxe over USB, click once, and it fetches and installs the latest AxeOS — no software to download.

Compact open-source mining hardware from the OSMU community — part of my ongoing work making home mining accessible and hackable.

A Chrome extension that scans your local network, finds every Bitaxe and shows live hashrate at a glance. Rated 5.0 on the Chrome Web Store.

Through WantClue Technologies UG I take on client projects end to end — from a schematic on a napkin to firmware running on your factory floor.
Custom product development
Bespoke hardware and firmware built around your requirements — ESP32-based devices, ASIC miner electronics, displays, sensors and the software that ties it together.
Manufacturing automation
Automation for producing Bitaxes and other Bitcoin miners: flashing and provisioning stations, end-of-line testing, QA tooling and process software that scales with your output.
Firmware & embedded software
Deep ESP-IDF and embedded C experience from years of shipping ESP-Miner. I write firmware that is reliable, updatable and maintainable long after handover.
Mining consulting & workshops
1-on-1 consulting and workshops on mining operations, hardware selection, efficiency and Bitcoin fundamentals — plus Bitcoin payment integration for your business.
Hardware diagnostics & repair
Troubleshooting and repair of mining equipment, from board-level ASIC repairs to custom firmware installations.
Engineer first. Everything else follows.
I got into Bitcoin mining the hard way: by opening the hardware up and rewriting what was inside. Today I lead software development on the Bitaxe, the open-source ASIC miner that proved mining hardware doesn't have to be a black box.
Along the way I built the tools the community actually uses every day — the official web flasher, network monitoring, touchscreen firmware — and taught programming and Bitcoin in workshops and on YouTube.
With WantClue Technologies UG I bring that same open-source engineering discipline to client work: clean firmware, honest documentation, and automation that keeps running when I'm not in the room.
